Award History The John A. Seitz Award is presented annually at the Dad Vail Regatta to an individual whose service to the Dad Vail is exemplary. This award is given in memory of Jack Seitz, a man whose commitment to the sport of rowing is legendary. When Holland got to high school, he rowed for St. Augustine before rowing for Temple University when he reached college. Holland would row at Temple in the early 1970’s. For his hard work and dedication leading up to the regatta along with the precise detail in ensuring the correct information is entered on race day, Ed Holland is being honored as this year’s recipient of the John A. Seitz Award.
