National Open Collegiate Sculling Championships
- Held during the Jefferson Dad Vail Regatta; Friday – Saturday, May 9-10, 2025.
- Men’s & Women’s Singles, Doubles and Quadruple sculling events.
- Quadruple sculling shells available on site to rent through Vespoli USA.
- As an emerging sport, doubling is permitted within sculling events and from sweep to sculling for the first three years of this championship.
- An Overall (single, double, and quad) National Open Collegiate Sculling Champions trophy awarded to both men and women.
The Jefferson Dad Vail Regatta is committed to actively promoting collegiate sculling. This objective is of great importance to our organization because it serves to:
- Promote collegiate sculling, thereby assisting to enhance the success of U. S. Olympic endeavors.
- Appeal to an entire range of collegiate varsity and club rowing programs, some in their infancy, those ever-growing, as well as mature programs.
- Benefit competitors and programs by allowing rowers to race in both sweep and sculling events, at same venue, on the same weekend.
- Permit savings by streamlining travel requirements.
- Promote the strategic objective of Dad Vail Regatta by growing the emerging sport of sculling.
The Jefferson Dad Vail Regatta is committed to providing a season-ending championship environment that serves the interest and needs of men’s and women’s Club, DI, DII, and DIII rowing programs.
